Refreshing a Local Habitat for Humanity Brand

Client: Our Towns Habitat for Humanity
(now part of Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region)

Background:

As Marketing Manager for Our Towns Habitat for Humanity, I developed the strategy and led the execution to update all local brand assets for alignment with Habitat for Humanity International’s new brand guidelines.

Key accomplishments included:

  • Managed website redesign to update brand visuals and improve navigation, UX, and functionality.
  • Developed new print and digital brand collateral, including brochure, case for support, slide deck, business cards, letterhead, signage and more.
  • Provided creative direction and oversaw production for homeownership impact video.
  • Developed branded design templates for Habitat ReStore signage & promotions, empowering store managers to be nimble while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Developed & executed GTM strategy for new Habitat ReStore location, including PR, social media and grand opening event planning.

Brand Collateral Assets

From slide decks to brochures to graphics to fundraising materials, the entire bank of brand collateral assets needed updated to reflect the new brand standards. I designed almost all collateral assets in-house, lacking budget or internal design resources. Assets were designed using a combination of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint and Canva, depending on the design need. Canva was leveraged heavily to create branded templates that could be adapted and used by other departments, such as Family Services and the ReStores, for brand consistency.
