Project Background: Originally published in ShopTalk Members Magazine, Fall 2012 issue. This feature profile spotlighted a member & volunteer whose artistic drive & love of trains inspired Norfolk Southern to paint 20 locomotives in its fleet with “Heritage” color schemes to celebrate the railroads that shaped the company.

Background: As Marketing Manager for Our Towns Habitat for Humanity, I developed the strategy and led the execution to update all local brand assets for alignment with Habitat for Humanity International’s new brand guidelines.

Background: An investigative series explore the factors endangering historic cemeteries and what can be done to protect them. First published in The Index Journal, Greenwood, SC in October 2001. Awarded Second Place for an Investigative Series by the S.C Press Association.

Background: On the heels of one of the most difficult & unpredictable years of our time, this employer branding campaign leveraged a New Year’s theme tied to employee stories of growth & development to highlight corporate values and position itself as an employer of choice.
Client: Purple Heart Homes
Background: Purple Heart Homes, a nonprofit dedicated to providing safe, accessible housing solutions for aging and service-disabled veterans, has experienced exponential growth in recent years, while at the same time working to establish a national service model by establishing regional chapters. The brand style guide offered bare bones creative guidelines and, due to the rapid growth and personnel turnover, brand creative was inconsistent and uninspired.

Background: Before coming to Habitat for Humanity, Shameca faced unacceptable choices due to a lack of affordable housing. Her story was published on the client’s blog to illustrate the broad impacts of housing that is out of reach.

Background: The #BuildLove fundraising campaign tied together online and offline fundraising appeals, beginning with Giving Tuesday communications on social media, followed by three direct mail pieces.

Background: This project involved ground-up brand development for a boutique branding & communications agency targeting small businesses and nonprofits. Work included naming ideation, managing logo development, and full design for website and social media brand graphics.
